Every single time you come across a piece of content on the internet, a subtle voice in your head will be asking, what’s in it for me?
We’re always asking that questions because that’s just the way we are. There is more content posted today than you could read in a lifetime. So we need to pick and choose what is worthy of our attention. If I’m not being informed, entertained, or inspired, you’re moving on and so is your audience.
So when you create content for social media, a website, a presentation, or pretty much anything else, the question you need to ask yourself is: “What’s in it for my audience?” Make it about them, not about you, and you might get their attention.
