All Together Now Pennsylvania

I got a call from Judy Wicks’ assistant who told me she needs a website for a new organization she’s building. The organization, All Together Now Pennsylvania, aims to build a coalition across Pennsylvania’s urban and rural communities to work for a sustainable, thriving local economy.

Without hesitation I said, “I’m in.”

Judy Wicks is a local legend and nationally-recognized leader in the local economy movement. She’s the founder of the White Dog Cafe, the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, and the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies. So yeah, she knows a thing or two about building quality organizations for good.

Their vision is a prosperous network of just and resilient regional economies comprised of independent, locally-owned farms and businesses, which build community wealth, reduce carbons, end reliance on global supply chains and prepare our communities for climate change by producing basic needs locally and sustainably.

The website is organized around six coalitions including Industrial Hemp, Renewable Energy, Local Food and more. These coalitions are working to gather support across the state for these important issues.

We designed the site to be inspirational and welcoming to Pennsylvanians of all types. We want users to feel proud of the state and empowered to build local economies that can sustain themselves without help from big corporations.

I’m super excited to see where this leads! Check them out and consider donating to this excellent new organization!
